Very attractive pony with heaps of potential for dressage. Lovely temperament with forward, supple, expressive paces. Current rider too interested in show jumping. He has show jumped with success to 1.10m. Including being placed third in 1.05m at 2009 NI SJ NZEF Championship class. But his real talent lies in the dressage arena. Been schooled at level 2/3 (shoulder in, canter counter, etc) by usual rider’s (reasonably!) lightweight mother. If I was interested in competing in dressage I would keep him for myself but I would rather jump too and my daughter and I currently have 7 horses/ponies in work between us. Plus my son has a horse and 8 horses/ponies on a five horse truck does not work!
Good safe pony club pony but as he has a sensitive mouth he is not a beginner’s pony. Doesn’t have to be ridden regularly and will still be sane. Will hack around the farm on a loose rein and is obedient, just not brain dead. Good to catch, shoe, float, truck, tie up, clip…
He would suit either an ambitious teenager or even an adult who wants the expressive warmblood paces without the size of horse that normally goes with it.
